Why I love my Canon and I'm sticking with it.
At present, I use a Canon R and a Canon M50 (more of a backup and for some video). I started on Canon because it was a name I trusted. My first camera was a Canon T3i. I learned all the basics on it. I then made a big jump to a Canon 70D. Absolutely awesome camera. The flip-out screen was revolutionary and the image quality was amazing. I then had a short stint with a Canon 6D Mark I. I'll be honest, I wasn't impressed. It was THE pro camera when it came out but not having the flip-out screen was a deal breaker. Finally, I got mirrorless and went to the Canon R. I'm in love!
I think my favorite features are the innumerable ways you can customize buttons and FOCUS ASSIST! LOVE. IT. It takes a little getting used to at first but focus assist gives everything that is in focus a red outline so you KNOW you nailed it. My eyes aren't great but focus assist helps me know I'm right on.
Now, I know there are a lot of great camera brands out there. I've learned on Canon and I see no need to change (though I do think I can justify an R6 in the near future). What's your brand? Tell me what you love about it.
